Christine creates an amazing experience on our second floor for kids Pre-K – 8th grade to grow in their faith on Sunday mornings. Using the Rotation Sunday School model, our kids learn Bible stories each month through creative arts, science, drama, and games. Christine leads a team of dedicated teachers and volunteers to make Christ’s love real to our kids. She has attended Royal Oak First for much of her life – from baptism, to receiving her first Bible, to attending Choir Camp, and through to marriage. She and her husband attended and held servant leadership positions in other churches, but returned to Royal Oak First when they were searching for programming for their four kids. Here they appreciated the opportunities for their children in choir, Sunday School, and for multi-generational connection. After volunteering at our annual Choir Camp and in other children’s programming, Christine was hired on a part-time basis as our Children, Youth & Families Curriculum Coordinator. Professionally Christine is also a Speech Language Pathologist, working with adults recovering from traumatic brain injury. She enjoys outdoor activities with her family, fostering rescue dogs, and many creative projects.
