Food for Our Neighbors—Sunday, March 17

In continuing with our Lenten Mission, on Sunday, March 17, we are asking all of our church members to consider bringing shelf-stable food items with them to either service. These are items that can survive long periods on shelves (without the need of refrigeration), such as:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Rice
  • Canned Veggies and Fruits
  • Crackers
  • Pasta/Pasta Sauce
  • Dried Fruits

During Communion, we will be asked to bring these items forward as an offering for our local food pantries and mission partners, who are committed to providing resources for our friends and neighbors needing assistance with food security. When we look at our individual resources and reflect on how we can make a difference in the world, well…the task can feel a bit overwhelming, but when we work together…miracles can happen! Thank you for your continued support of our missions and your generosity during this Lenten season.
