Dear Royal Oak First Families,
It is with sadness and disappointment that we have decided to cancel Choir Camp this summer. In our conversations with Camp Ohiyesa, it is clear that our size and type of activities would make even an altered camp experience very challenging at best. That, plus the concern that even with incredible effort we could still spread the coronavirus amongst ourselves or back into your homes, makes this the best decision for this year.
There are so many things we will miss about camp! It will be extra special when we can gather again next July for our 67th year of Choir Camp.
Let us share some additional information…
- Funds raised during the 2019-20 school year are accounted for and will be credited to your account next year.
- Students in the class of 2021, who will be missing their “senior year” of camp will be invited back next year post-graduation.
- Stay tuned for some alternative activities that will be offered during the week of July 19. While we cannot be at camp, we will find other ways to connect safely with our church friends.
- Put Choir Camp 2021 on your calendar now for July 18-24, 2021!
We are so looking forward to life getting back to normal – we are eager to see everyone when it is safe to do so! In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy and as always, let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Trust that God loves you, your church loves you and we will get through this!
