The Compass Team champions the vision, mission and core values of Royal Oak First; cares for and improves the effectiveness of our pastors and staff; and directs the organization in compliance within our legal and regulatory environment. Compass Team can be thought of as a Board of Directors in a nonprofit organization, or as an Elder Board such as exists in some other Christian denominations’ churches.
Besides the Compass Team, there are currently 11 sub-teams that focus on specific areas in and around the church. They are: Nomination Team, Lay Members to Annual Conference, Finance Team, Endowment Team, Personnel Team, Building & Grounds Team, Parsonage Team, Health & Safety Team, Missions Team, Consecration Sunday Team, and Music Guild.
You are invited to attend any of the Compass Team business meetings which are held on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7pm. If you would like to be on the agenda (please give at least 2 weeks advance notice), please email compassteam@rofum.org.
