BBQ and Movie Night

BBQ and Movie Night

Join us for a casual evening of BBQ and watching a movie at the Troy home of Joyce and Tami Hollingsworth. They will host a BBQ in their beautiful backyard with lovely gardens and then move inside to watch the Oscar winning best picture of the year – “CODA: Children of Deaf Adults”, a wonderful coming-of-age gem that aims directly at the heart and hits the bullseye. The fantastic Emilia Jones stars as Ruby, a teen who must choose between going away to college to pursue music or staying home to help her deaf parents and brother run their commercial fishing business. Guaranteed to make you laugh, cry and everything in between. Encouraged by her enthusiastic, tough-love choirmaster to apply to a prestigious music school, Ruby finds herself torn between the obligations she feels to her family and the pursuit of her own dreams.

WILL HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE! If it should rain we will move the BBQ inside the spacious home of Joyce and Tami.

COVID CONSIDERATIONS: Should there be an upswing in COVID cases, we will ask folks to wear a mask that we will provide if we need to move inside our home due to rain.
