COVID Protocol Update

Greetings Church Family!

As the COVID cases and hospitalizations continue to decline in our area, we have taken some time to look at our safety protocols. We are so grateful for your cooperation and patience as we have tried to be responsive to the numbers and also prioritize health and safety. Since November, we have been requiring masks in the building, we roped off every other pew and we removed the chairs and coffee hour snacks from the Gathering Space.

As we watch our schools and businesses remove restrictions, we are prepared to move into a time of personal choice. Understanding that every person and family is making choices based on their own experiences and risk assessment, we will be inviting you to make those decisions for yourself here at church as well.

Starting Sunday March 13, masks will no longer be required. We will be removing the roping in the sanctuary so that every pew is available. And you may have already seen that the chairs are back in the Gathering Space. Snacks will be out after worship again as well.  Watch for updates on choirs and singing that will come from our Music Director, Tim Schoenherr. We will continue to have hand sanitizer readily available throughout the building. Certainly, you are welcome to wear a mask and gauge your own comfort level with coffee hour and other activities.

Each week, we are seeing more familiar faces attending worship in person again and we are always so glad to see you. We have also been meeting a fair number of new people; in fact we have welcomed 9 new members in 2022 already! We are also committed to continuing to provide a quality online worship experience for those who are out of town or not ready to come into the building. And, Zoom options for groups and classes are here to stay as we have all learned of the convenience and accessibility that offers.

As COVID hopefully continues to wane, we will respect every person’s decisions about how to participate in church life. We hope you will find your way here on a Sunday morning (or for some other activity) sometime this spring. We have missed you!
