FIRST Adventures

Be a part of the Adventure! FIRST Adventures is a recreational ministry aimed at providing adults with opportunities for high-adventure activities, interacting with our amazing world, spiritual formation, and experiences in compassionate community.

Our recent activities have included weekly Road Biking, a Fall Color Hike, Cross Country Skiing, and Ice Fishing. Upcoming winter activities will include Cross Country Skiing, Ice Fishing, and maybe a Hike. In the spring we expect to begin Walk to Church and Running groups. In the summer of 2010 we will have an Adventure in the Adirondacks of upstate New York.

Other activities being considered are Backpacking, Geocaching, Fishing, Canoeing and Kayaking, and Rock Climbing. Feel free to suggest other ideas.

The group is open to all adults; you do not need to be a member of ROFUM. Please contact Bob Berard (cerab@wowway.com) if you are interested and want to be kept up to date on our activities and meetings.

Oak Apple Run Training - Sundays after the 9:15 a.m. worship service beginning February 7. Train for the Oak Apple Run!
Rock Climbing Training at Planet Rock - Saturday, March 20
Rock Climbing Expedition at Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio - Saturday, April 10
Road Biking - Saturdays beginning mid-April
Adirondack Adventure - August 11-15
